David and Lilian Alleyn formed the School of Japanese Karate Shotokan International, Enfield and North London in 1978 together with their son Brian and daughter Christine.
David, a Sports Psychologist, is Chief Instructor and holds the rank of Shihan (Master or Teacher of Teachers), he is a 6th Dan Black Belt in Shotokan Karate and 1st Dan in Ju-Jitsu. David is also a qualified tournament referee.
Lilian holds a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Shotokan Karate, 1st Dan in Ju-Jitsu and Cert. Chinese Medicine.
Brian is a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Shotokan Karate and has won a number of national competitions.
Christine is a qualified 1st Dan Black Belt Instructor in Shotokan Karate and teaches children at SJK. Her daughters, Debbie and Melissa, are coloured belt students.(making a 3rd generation in karate)
